More Than Meets the Eye 2025
More Than Meets the Eye. Four unique stories, all sharing their perspectives, experiences and learnings navigating the corporate world whilst dealing with labels, identity and representation. This campaign has the clear mission of challenging the stereotypes and one-dimensional views that black colleagues face in the workforce.
I crafted the creative direction for the campaign, crafting the idea and structure of the campaign that unifies each of the stories told to ensure that it leads to breakdown the generalised views of black colleagues. On the day of the shoot, I took the reign as Director. Ensuring everyone interviewed was comfortable enough to give their best answers. With the help of my good editor, Temi Paris, we were able to edit each of these videos into engaging, thought-provoking visual stories that got to air across ITV London, Leeds and Manchester.
I'm proud that this campaign was one that way able to be a voice for those that may not have the words to express theirselves. Bringing a spotlight to the issue around labels and judgement. What I would do better next time would be to incorporate B-Roll footage to increase the level of storytelling, showing parts of each person in environments where you can see a more whole version of themselves, not only the version of them at work.
